Separate Silences (Danish: Hver Sin Stilhed) is a VR performance.

It's a two-person installation, viewed through the Samsung Gear VR, simultaneously. The experience require an exhibition where our team will interact with the audience while they are wearing the gear. 
The experience combines multiple points of view, and physical stimulation to achieve a credible state of presence, while implementing traditional film formats within the virtual environment. All of this is packed into a physical, theater-like setup which rethinks cinematic VR.

The story is about two siblings who are each in a coma, constantly floating between different perceptions of worlds within themselves and the hospital they are kept in. VR is mostly known for being a solitary experience. "Separate Silences" wish to alter that perception through our gamification element by adding the two perspective; point of view, in providing people with a combined social experience. Throughout the entire 21 minute performance, the viewers inhabit the body and mind of either of the siblings. 
With “Separate Silences”, we wish to challenge and develop a better understanding of how to approach and tell stories within cinematic VR, by creating a pioneering 
hybrid-experience that incorporates film, theater and the technology of live-action VR.
